MEN BY Maya Angelou

This poem was written by Maya Angelou she is a very deep poet. I am as well so we can really connect. ``Men" is a very true and deep poem it really makes women think about men and how they treat their women but in my opinion it not all men it some men. It is very hard these days for a good women to find a good man. I also think this poem is about her getten raped by a man and it about how a man can hurt you so bad. One point they could love you the right way and then love you the wrong way. Sometimes a good woman loves a bad man for all the wrong reasons.
When there is a bad man in a good womens life and that women in the future can treat a good man bad.

Hyperble Of My Dog

One hyperble i found in this poem is She sleeps like a log. Which means the dog sleeps a lot. eats like a hog. She eats a lot. Her tail is a whip times ten. She wags her tail a lot. I think the poet used hyperble this way to describe her dog. Also to tell how the dog sleeps, eat, and how when she get hyper she wags her tail and how fast she wags it.

The mood to this poem is stressed and depressed. I think this because he talks about how his life is as a black man and he is pour and no one really cares about a negro. People sell crack to kids and do not care because they are getting money they kill someone and do not care. He is very deep with his words in this poem.

Chankara Poem Responce

This poem explain how Chankara sister got beat up by her boyfriends a lot and used to come home in the middle of the night and try to hide her bruises from her. I think Chankara wrote this poem just to say that she would not want to go through that in life.The word that best describes how this poem is feeling is depressing and also it may could be grief because her sister went through a lot and now that Chankara`s boyfriend hit her and gave her a big bruise on her face. If it was me i will be very depressed to have a boyfriend like that and to look in the mirror to see a big black and blue thing on my face and to know how it happen. Chankara and her sister deserves better. Chankara does not want to go through what her sister is going through. I can not say i have a connection to them but i know many people who do it is very crazy to live like that with someone you really love but yet you are scared of them because they like putting there hands on you for whatever reason. When you really love someone it hard to let go but when they are putting their hands on you you should just say goodbye. I will not want to live like that at all. Love that involves hitting and punching is not love at all.

Bronx Masquerade poetry responce

Tyrone is a very deep character. he beleave he has no future he says he might not make it to twenty one years old in the hood he lives in. He speaks about on how his father died at 31. he also says how his hood is dangers but it still his home. The poem that Tyrone wrote was called ``Attendence" and that poem he says that anywhere you go you can die in a second even though you didnt do anything wrong. if you go to McD`s you can get shot out of nowhere and he is also saying that we should make the hood a better place. The poetry makes me think like he is right on what he says because i done seen it happen people die for no reason of just get shot. Tyrone is is very truthful with his words. A word that can discribe Tyrone is he talks about the truth what really happens in the world so he is very truthful with his words.

Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening

The mood that this poem creates is tired and slow. This poem uses an AABB devices. At the end of the poem he repeats ``And miles to go before I sleep." because he was tired and he wanted to sleep all ready. Frost is felling slow and he wants to rest because he is tired.

The Kiss

In this poem i can infer that she love this boy and she wants to kiss him. When she finally kisses him his kiss is not as good as she dreamed it would be. Sara Teasdale says in the poem that she ``Hopes" bold in the poem so i`m guessing that she wants him to be as good as she dreamed of him because she really likes him very much. The meaning of this poem is that Sara loves this boy and really really likes him and she hopes he likes her as much as she likes him.I can connect to this poem cause once i liked a boy and i really wanted to know him but yet he was not what i thought he was.
